室戸岬乱焦遊歩道 概要
太平洋につきだした室戸岬は、三方を海に囲まれ、沖合には黒潮が流れています。黒潮は赤道付近から北上して流れてきた温かい海流のため、室戸岬に温暖な気候をもたらします。冬季も温暖で、1年を通じて降水量も多くなり、亜熱帯性の植物群落や海浜植物が生育しています。
Cape Muroto, which juts out into the Pacific Ocean, is surrounded on three sides by the sea, with the Kuroshio Current flowing offshore. This current is a warm ocean current that flows northward from the equator and brings a mild climate to Cape Muroto--even during the winter. The high precipitation throughout the year allows subtropical plant communities and beach vegetation to thrive in the area.
